Honest Thoughts
The last two cases I worked on I was considered the most important witness. In other words the case win or lose depended on my testimony. One of the cases dealt with a fire vehicle accident and a civilian fatality. During the trial I didn’t want to appear to be the hired gun. In my opinion both parties involved in the incident were somewhat responsible. This is what I told my attorney. At first, he didn’t like it but finally came around to my way of thinking. I didn’t want the jury to think I was basing my opinion on who was paying me rather than the facts of the case and my honest opinion. That was the only way I could feel comfortable on the stand.
