The Police
The Police
On February 7th I will MC the Thousand Oaks Elks Lodge police and fire recognition event. This will be the 43rd time Elks have recognized law enforcement and firefighters who work in the Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Malibu, Westlake and Calabasas area. These men and women receiving the awards have performed at an outstanding level.
Law enforcement was his calling. He believe in justice and fair play. He believed in protecting those who are too weak to protect themselves.
He also knew no matter how hard he worked, you will never rid the world of evil.
But, he will always be there protecting people to the best of his ability.
Hos compensation wasn’t measures by a pay check. It was measured by a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment he got from performing his job and from the distinguishment from the men and women he served alongside.
I read somewhere that police officers are the last of the noble professions
Police officers risk their lives on a daily basis to serve and protect people who they don’t even know.
Police officers deal with criminals who’s only intent is to kill them and often they are out gunned
A simple traffic stop or family dispute call can lead to a life and death situation. Not to mention a mass shooting.
Police officers are often a light of kindness in a cruel and sometimes sad world
They care deeply for others and are committed to making the human condition better.
They won’t like many of the things they will see, or many of the things they will have to do.
But, they know that they help someone in desperate need
For their entire career, their efforts will revolve around helping people.
Yes being a police officer is truly a noble profession.
From all of us Thank You
